About SouthWest Missouri Pipes & Drums

Honoring Tradition. Serving Community. Building Harmony.

Formed in early 2025 by local pipers and drummers, the SouthWest Missouri Pipes & Drums is a regional musical collective based in Springfield, Missouri. Dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich heritage of Celtic pipe and drum music, our band brings authentic Scottish and Irish music, patriotic anthems, and traditional ceremonial tunes to audiences across the Ozarks.

Our Mission

Our core mission is to promote the art of piping and drumming through community performance, education, and public service. Whether performing at public festivals, local athletic contests, or solemn memorials honoring fallen first responders and community heroes, we strive to maintain the highest standards of musicality and tradition.

What We Do

• Community & Cultural Events: From regional Highland Games and St. Patrick's Day festivities to community sports matches and local arts showcases, our full ensemble delivers energetic and memorable performances.

• Memorials & Honors: We provide pibroch laments, solemn processionals, and honor guards for civic ceremonies, military honors, and first responder memorials.

• Private Engagements: Small ensembles and solo pipers or drummers are available for hire across Southwest Missouri for weddings, funerals, retirement celebrations, and special occasions.
